Interviewing

.

Hiring well is arguably the most important job you'll have as a founder. To help ensure an efficient and effective search, review this checklist:
  1. Brush up on your interview skills with our Interviewing Tips & Questions, Alex Bard's Hiring Guide, and Gem's "Hiring For Founders" Guide.
  2. Meet with a couple external recruiters to learn about the candidate pool and (maybe) get some free candidate ideas. Consult our Recruiters List and our guide on Selecting a Search Firm.
  3. Familiarize yourself with the role you're hiring for through one of our Role Guides below.
  4. Define the role and target candidate, and determine how those align with the Market Compensation for that role. Learn more from our Interview Process Doc.
  5. Learn more about Closing a Candidate and Referencing.
